Biography
Marco C. Bottino, DDS, MSc, PhD, is a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Dental Biomaterials at Indiana University School of Dentistry (IUSD). He is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Biomedical Engineering (Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis, IUPUI). His research focuses on the development and both materials and biological characterizations of novel scaffolds for regenerative dentistry and medicine. He has authored over 40 papers published in scientific journals, several book chapters in biomaterials and tissue engineering, is a peer-reviewer for multiples Biomaterials related Journals and is on the editorial board of the Journal of Tissue Science & Engineering
Research Interest
Biomaterials development, specifically the engineering of biologically active polymeric materials for tissue regeneration and drug delivery systems for dental and craniofacial applications.
