Biography

Hengxiang Cui is a Chinese biomedical researcher specializing in neurodegenerative diseases, molecular neuroscience, cancer biology, and cellular signaling. He currently serves as an Assistant Researcher at the Shanghai Mental Health Center, affiliated with Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. He is also associated with the Chinese Academy of Sciences and previously worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Institut Gustave Roussy in France. Dr. Cui completed his studies in cell biology at East China Normal University. His research focuses on neurodegeneration, circadian rhythm regulation, angiogenesis, cellular senescence, ischemic brain injury, and molecular genetics. He has contributed to studies involving TDP-43 signaling, GPR126/ADGRG6 function, RNA biology, hematopoietic senescence, and colorectal cancer progression. He has authored and co-authored multiple peer-reviewed publications in high-impact journals including Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Journal of Cell Biology, Cancer Science, Journal of Biological Chemistry, Oncogene, and Haematologica.
