Biography
Dr Tsabang Nole completed his PhD on April 2, 2008, at the University of Yaounde 1 at the age of 48. He is the author of 87 scientific articles, several conference abstracts published in international peer reviewed journals, and a book titled Ethnopharmacological Galenic Ecological and Conservation Evaluation of Plants with Antidiabetic and or Antihypertensive Properties in Cameroon published by European University Editions in 2024. He is also the main author of four books published by Heifer Project International Cameroon and two volumes of monographs on medicinal plants in Cameroon. He completed 31 years of research at the Institute of Medical Research and Medicinal Plant Studies where he retired in December 2014 at the age of 55. His work has focused extensively on ethnopharmacological studies in Cameroon. Dr Tsabang Nole also served as a botanist and ethnobotanist in 10 environmental and social impact assessment projects across Cameroon and Africa including hydroelectric dam projects, power plants, port development, highways, and mining projects. In addition, he teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses on a temporary basis at the University of Yaounde 1, the University of Dschang, and the Higher Institute of Environmental Sciences. He also serves as a reviewer for several international journals.
