Biography

Dr Aida A Abd El Wahed working as a senior researcher in the Department of Bee Research Plant Protection Research Institute Agricultural Research Centre Giza Egypt She has experience in Natural Products Chemistry Isolation purification synthesis and structure elucidation of bio active compounds from naturally occurring sources Dr Aida has strong interest in research questions and during her scientific journey she kept on the right track to a distinguished career as a productive and successful researcher Aida brought a great deal of energy commitment applied her own skills and greatly contributed resulting in a number of peer reviewed high impact international publications She published many research articles and scientific papers reviews in international journals among them Trends in Food Science and Technology Frontiers in Nutrition Nutrients Toxins Marine drugs Molecules Food insects Journal of King Saud University Science animals and others Aida has presented her research at several scientific conferences worldwide and received awards most recently 2017 Price for the best paper from Association of Arab Researchers in Bees AARB She also received the Best Applied Research Award and Certificate for outstanding work in the field of Plant Protection from the Plant Protection Research Institute Agricultural Research Centre in 2025 In addition she has been honored with many certificates of appreciation for her contributions as a lecturer and trainee in conferences workshops and seminars Dr Aida also participates in training programs in the field of beekeeping as a lecturer at the Ministry of Agriculture Egypt She contributed to the summer training program for agricultural faculties and served as a trainer in the Integrated Training Program in Beekeeping and Its Products held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from June 30 2019 to August 3 2019 totaling 125 training hours She was the first female trainer for Saudi girls in the history of the Kingdom Moreover Dr Aida has participated in internationally funded research projects including PRIMA from the European Union and a three year project funded by Sweden
