Biography
Professor Jahan B. Ghasemi is a distinguished scholar in Analytical and Computational Chemistry at the University of Tehran. He received his B.Sc. in Chemistry from the University of Tehran in 1988 and his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from Shiraz University in 1991 and 1995, respectively. He completed postdoctoral research at Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden, focusing on multidimensional spectroscopy applications, and a sabbatical at the University of Delaware, USA, working on signal denoising algorithms. His research interests encompass computational and computer-aided drug design, molecular modeling, photocatalysis, chemometrics, and analytical and environmental applications of nanomaterials. Professor Ghasemi has extensive experience teaching courses such as Analytical Chemistry, Instrumental Analysis, Computational Drug Design, and Machine Learning in Chemistry. His work bridges the fields of data analysis, molecular simulations, and advanced analytical techniques, contributing significantly to both chemical research and education.
