Biography

Phoebe Morgan holds a Ph.D. in Justice Studies and is a professor of Criminology, a board certified ombudsman and a credentialed mediator. She has 20 years of university teaching experience with expertise in classroom conflict management. She is internationally renowned for her research about sexual harassment complaint and has also published scholarship about crime victim/crime worker relations, gun control law and online plagiarism. Her current research regards the privatization of alternative dispute resolution. She is a lifetime member of the Society for the Study of Social Problems and is currently serving on the SSSP Executive Board. Dr Morgan reviews manuscripts for Social Problems, Contemporary Ethnography, Gender and Society, Violence Against Women, Feminist Criminology, Sage, Praeger, Greenwood and Pine Forge. She has led numerous leadership workshops on conflict management and regularly provides professional consultation, sensitivity training and expert witness testimony about sexual harassment and workplace disputes.
