Biography
Dr. Mathias received his PhD in 2009 from The University of Melbourne studying the contribution of the extracellular microenvironment during epithelial-mesenchymal transition. He continued this research as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research and La Trobe University in the proteomics laboratory of Prof. Richard Simpson. In 2011 Dr. Mathias was awarded an Australian NHMRC Early Career Fellowship, and since 2012 has been working as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Princeton University in the laboratory of Assoc. Prof. Ileana Cristea, studying viral-host protein interactions during herpes viral infection.
