Biography

Dr. Muhammad Zafar Iqbal is a molecular biology and plant pathology researcher with a Ph.D. from Yunnan Agricultural University, China. His research expertise includes microbial genetics, bacterial pathogenicity, virulence-associated genes, host–pathogen interactions, genomics, microbiology, and biotechnology. His doctoral research investigated the functional role of the rpoS gene in Klebsiella pneumoniae pathogenicity using murine and maize disease models, integrating molecular biology, microbiology, genetic analysis, and bioinformatics approaches. He has practical expertise in PCR/qPCR, DNA/RNA analysis, microbial culture, microbiome studies, sequence analysis, and experimental disease models. Dr. Iqbal has contributed to peer-reviewed international publications and is experienced in scientific writing, research documentation, and multidisciplinary collaboration. His expertise aligns with editorial evaluation of manuscripts in molecular genetics, microbial pathogenesis, biotechnology, genomics, and disease mechanisms.
