Biography

Dr Erzsebet Varga is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy Department of Pharmacognosy and Phytotherapy at George Emil Palade University of Medicine Pharmacy Science and Technology of Targu Mures She specializes in pharmacognosy phytotherapy pharmaceutical ethics and medicinal plant research She graduated from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Targu Mures and earned her PhD in Pharmacy in 2001 With more than 20 years of academic experience she has taught courses in pharmacognosy phytotherapy deontology and homeopathy while supervising numerous student research projects Dr Varga has led and participated in several national and international research projects focused on medicinal plants antioxidants and natural pharmaceutical compounds She is also the inventor of multiple patents related to mineral enriched yeast tablets and has received scientific awards and fellowships for her research contributions
