Biography
Prof. Fatih Selimefendigil is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Celal Bayar University, Turkey. He earned his B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Istanbul Technical University (2001–2004), his M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering/Computational Mechanics from Technical University of Munich (2004–2006), and his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering/Thermodynamics from Technical University of Munich (2006–2010). Prof. Selimefendigil has held several academic and research positions, including Visiting Professor at King Faisal University (2022–2024), Assistant Professor at King Abdulaziz University (2010–2011), and Research Engineer at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) in 2010. His research focuses on thermal management, nanofluids, thermal energy storage, MHD flow, ferrofluids, thermoacoustics, solar energy, heat transfer, fluid-structure interaction, system identification, computational fluid dynamics, and model order reduction. He has contributed extensively to advancing research and applications in mechanical and thermal engineering.
