Biography
Dr. Zhongkui Zhao is a Full Professor in the Department of Catalysis Chemistry and Engineering, School of Chemical Engineering, Dalian University of Technology, China. He is the head of the "Advanced Catalytic Materials" research group, DUT. In 2012, he was awarded the “Program for New Century Excellent Talents in University" by the Chinese Ministry of Education. He is an author of more than 130 peer-reviewed papers on scientific journals and also one book and four book chapters.
Research Interest
His research focuses on designing and fabricating novel and highly efficient heterocatalysts via the modulation of structure and active sites for both the green synthesis of raw materials and intermediates of fine chemicals and the highly-efficient production and transformation of new energy sources (H2, CO2, CO, CH4, and biomass) through thermocatalysis, photocatalysis, and electrocatalysis. In details, the research interest mainly includes as follows: 1) Novel catalytic materials 2) Photocatalysis and electrocatalysis for hydrogen production 3) Catalytic CO2 conversion (thermocatalysis, photocatalysis, electrocatalysis) 4) Catalytic clean synthesis of fine chemicals and intermediates (thermocatalysis, photocatalysis, electrocatalysis)
