Biography

Dr. Nadeem Elhussieny is an Assistant Professor of Biotechnology in the Department of Life Science and Chemistry at Constructor University, Germany. He earned his B.Sc. (2006) and M.Sc. (2012) in Microbiology from Helwan University, Cairo, Egypt, completing his master’s thesis on “Biofuel Production by Local Yeast Isolates.” He subsequently obtained a Ph.D. in Microbial Biotechnology (2023) from Constructor University Bremen, Germany, with a doctoral thesis titled “The Potential of Fungal Biomass as Industrial Catalyst: Modification of Lipids.” Dr. Elhussieny has extensive training in microbial physiology, fermentation technology, lab automation, project management, proposal writing, and statistical design of optimization experiments. His professional development includes advanced courses in microbial research ethics, scientific and academic writing, HPLC analysis techniques, and cell culture principles across institutions in Germany, the Netherlands, and Egypt. His research focuses on industrial biotechnology, microbial processes, and the application of fungal and microbial systems as biocatalysts for sustainable industrial applications. Dr. Elhussieny actively contributes to research innovation, project management, and scientific training in biotechnology and life sciences.
