Biography
Prof. Wen-Fang Xie is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical, Industrial & Aerospace Engineering at Concordia University. She obtained her Ph.D. from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 1999, her Master’s degree from Beihang University in 1991, and her Bachelor’s degree from Beihang University in 1988. Prof. Xie’s research expertise spans dynamic modeling and control, mechatronics, visual servo control, soft computing techniques, image processing and pattern recognition, hybrid electric vehicles, industrial process control, and flight control. She joined Concordia University as an Assistant Professor in 2003, was promoted to Associate Professor in 2008, and became a Professor in 2014. Throughout her academic career, Prof. Xie has contributed significantly to advancing intelligent control systems and mechatronic applications through her research, teaching, and publications.
