Biography

Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Soliman Hegazy is an Associate Professor of Anatomy and Embryology at the Faculty of Medicine, Benha University, Egypt. He also serves as Head of the Department of Anatomy at the Faculty of Medicine, Northern Border University (NBU), Saudi Arabia. With over two decades of academic and research experience, Dr. Hegazy has significantly contributed to the fields of anatomy, embryology, and medical education. Dr. Hegazy began his academic career in 1996 as an Assistant Lecturer of Anatomy and Embryology at the Faculty of Medicine, Zagazig University, Benha, Egypt. He later advanced to Lecturer and Assistant Professor roles across several prestigious institutions, including Misr International University (MIU) in Cairo, Benha Institute of Nursing, and the Faculty of Medicine, Zagazig University. Between 2006 and 2009, he served in various academic and administrative positions at the Saudi German Institute for Nursing and Allied Health Sciences in Jeddah, where he was the Head of the Basic Sciences Department and later the General Academic Supervisor. He also held the position of Assistant Professor at Batterjee Medical College (BMC) in Jeddah. In 2009, Dr. Hegazy joined Northern Border University (NBU), Saudi Arabia, as an Assistant Professor and Head of the Anatomy Department, later promoted to Associate Professor in 2013. He continues to hold this role while serving concurrently at Benha University. Dr. Hegazy’s research interests include neuroanatomy, embryological development, and physiological mechanisms underlying neurological and developmental disorders. His extensive teaching and leadership experience reflect his commitment to advancing anatomical sciences and improving medical education and research standards.
