Biography
Dr. Mokhtar Fathi is a Senior Lecturer in Poultry Welfare and an Associate Professor in Poultry Production Systems. His work focuses on research, education, communication, and collaboration in the field of sustainable animal production systems, emphasizing poultry welfare, breeding, and nutrition. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Animal Production from Kurdistan University, Sanandaj, Iran, in 2000, followed by a Master of Science in Animal Science (Nutrition) from Guilan University in 2005. His master’s thesis was titled “Investigating the Effect of Probiotics (Productive Lactobacillus Cultures) on the Performance of Broiler Chickens.” In 2011, he completed his Ph.D. in Animal Science (Physiology of Nutrition) from the Islamic Azad University, Shabestar Branch. His doctoral research, “The Role of Oxidative Stress in Relation to Pulmonary Hypertension Syndrome (PHS) and Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) in Broilers,” contributed valuable insights into metabolic and physiological factors affecting poultry health. Dr. Mokhtar Fathi continues to advance the field through interdisciplinary research and active engagement in education and international cooperation, promoting welfare-oriented and sustainable poultry production practices.
