Biography
Dr. Sima Ataollahi Eshkoor is a Medical Doctor, researcher, and clinician with extensive experience in ageing, dementia, molecular biology, genetics, and public health. She earned her MD from Kerman University, Iran, followed by MSc and PhD degrees in Biomedical Sciences from Universiti Putra Malaysia. Her research has focused on ageing mechanisms, genetic and epigenetic biomarkers, neurodegenerative disorders, microbiota, and age related diseases. Dr. Eshkoor has authored more than 40 peer reviewed publications, serving as first author on most of them, with over 1,200 citations and an h index of 15. She has worked as a Research Fellow and Postdoctoral Fellow at the Malaysian Research Institute on Ageing and currently serves as a Medical Officer in Denmark. Her work integrates clinical medicine with translational research to improve healthy ageing and disease prevention.
