Biography
Dr. Fiume earned her medical degree and specialization in Gastrointestinal Surgery at the Second University of Naples. She completed her internship and residency in general surgery at the Department of General and Esophageal Surgery at the University of Naples and in Minimally Invasive Surgery at Royal Surrey County Hospital, Guildford, (UK). She was awarded a Doctorate of Research in Medical and Surgical Oncology and Clinical Immunology at the Second University of Naples in 2009. She currently is employed as a gastrointestinal and oncologic surgeon at the Hospital of Pesaro (Italy).
Research Interest
Her researches are focused on the functional pathology of the esophagus and on upper and lower gastrointestinal cancer.
