Biography
Dr. Xie is a professor at the Department of Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences, University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). She completed her doctorate studies in physiology and medical science at Peking University, China, received postdoctoral training at National Institute of Health (NIH) and Duke University in United States, and joined UCLA faculty in 1995. She has published 80 research articles in peer reviewed journals in the areas of neuroscience. She was Associate Editor for Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease, and has served as the member of study sections or review panels for National Institute of Health, US Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program, and various international foundations for scientific research.
