Biography
Dr. El-Badrawy is Associate Professor of Restorative Dentistry at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto. She is member of the School of Graduate Studies of the University of Toronto. She also maintains private practice position in Mississauga, Ontario. She had her BDS degree from Cairo University in 1979 and obtained her Masters degree (MSc) from Manchester University, England in 1985. She has certification of the National Dental Examining Board of Canada. She is member of the Academy of Operative Dentistry, the Society for Color and Appearance in Dentistry, the International Association for Dental Research, the Canadian Association for Dental research, the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario and the Ontario Dental Association. She is also Editorial Board member of the International Journal of Dentistry, Case reports in Dentistry, Dental Medium Journal and a reviewer for many others. Dr. El-Badrawy lectured and presented research findings internationally at the following cities: Alexandria, Egypt, Amman, Jordan – Cairo, Egypt - Chicago, USA – Glasgow, Scotland – Goteborg, Sweden – Graz, Austria - Ismailia, Egypt - London, England - Los Angeles, USA – Mansoura, Egypt- Miami USA - Nice, France – Orlando, USA - San Antonio, USA – San Diego, USA - San Francisco, USA – Seattle, USA – Siena, Italy - Toronto, Canada – Washington DC, USA, and Barcelona, Spain. Dr. El-Badrawy is the recipient of the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry Research Award for 2003. In addition she held numerous research grants from the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto. She published around a hundred research papers, literature reviews, and abstracts of research work in the following scientific journals: Journal of Dental Research, Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, Dental Materials, Operative Dentistry, Journal of the Canadian Dental Association, Journal of the American Dental Association, European Journal of Dentistry, Quintessence International, International J Clinical Dentistry, Ontario Dentist, Computers and Education Journal, Dental Medium Journal and the Year Book of Dentistry.
