Biography

Dr. Elizabeth Brophy Juneman is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Cardiology Section at the University of Arizona College of Medicine and Southern Arizona VA Health Care System. She is a member of the Saver Heart Center. Dr. Juneman received her BS in Electrical Engineering at Southern Methodist University in Texas where she graduated with honors. She attended medical school at the University of Texas - Houston Health Sciences Center. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency, Chief Residency and Cardiology Fellowship at the University of Arizona - Sarver Heart Center. Dr. Juneman joined the faculty at SAVAHCS in 2007 where she serves as the Echocardiography and Stress Laboratory Director. Dr. Juneman is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease, Nuclear Cardiology and Echocardiography. She has been recognized as Tucson’s Top Doctor for the past four years, received the 2011 University of Arizona Cardiology Fellowship Teaching Award and the 2010 Northwestern Junior Faculty Basic Science Award winner. She is Faculty for the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Juneman’s research interest is focused on the cellular and mechanical remodeling in ischemic heart failure. She has a particular interest in the functional and electrical integration of cell-based therapy in ischemic heart failure.
